This page explains what information this website collects and why. The site is run by Efstathios Magerakis, who can be contacted at smagerakis@upatras.gr.

Analytics (only with your consent)

If you click Accept in the cookie banner, the site uses Google Analytics 4 to count visits. It records which pages are viewed, roughly where visitors come from (country or city), and their device and browser type. This data is anonymous: Google Analytics 4 does not store IP addresses. It sets cookies named _ga and _ga_* to recognise returning visitors.

If you click Decline, or make no choice, Google Analytics is not loaded and no analytics cookies are set. You can change your choice at any time through Cookie settings at the bottom of every page. Your choice is saved in your browser’s local storage, not in a cookie.

Contact form

When you use the contact form, the name, email address and message you enter are processed by Netlify Forms and sent to me. They are used only to reply to you.

Hosting and third-party services

The site is hosted by Netlify, whose servers record technical information such as IP addresses to deliver and secure the site. To display the pages, your browser also loads fonts from Google Fonts and icons and scripts from cdnjs (Cloudflare) and Font Awesome. These providers receive your IP address when your browser requests the files. No other tracking takes place.

Your rights

Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) you can ask to see, correct or delete personal data held about you, or object to its use. To do so, email smagerakis@upatras.gr. You also have the right to complain to the Hellenic Data Protection Authority (dpa.gr).
